Updated - October 28, 2026 at 01:59 PM.Driven by broad-based growth across its domestic and international ports, logistics and marine businesses, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) reported a 16.5 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit to ₹3,622 crore in the second quarter of FY27.
Revenue from operations rose 24 per cent year-on-year to ₹11,340 crore during the quarter, supported by strong performance across all business segments. The company’s international ports business led growth, while domestic ports continued to anchor earnings. Domestic ports revenue grew 13 per cent year-on-year to ₹7,177 crore, with the business reporting an EBITDA margin of 72.5 per cent. Cargo volumes stood at 118 million tonnes during the quarter. APSEZ also secured a 30-year concession for Paradip Port’s CQ-I and CQ-II dry bulk berths, adding 18 million tonnes of mechanised capacity, and commenced export-import operations at Vizhinjam port.
Revenue from international ports increased 71 per cent to ₹1,839 crore, while EBITDA rose more than threefold to ₹878 crore. The EBITDA margin reached a record 47.7 per cent, supported by the ramp-up of Colombo West International Terminal and Tanzania operations, along with contributions from NQXT Australia. International port volumes increased to 24 million tonnes from 10 million tonnes a year earlier.
Ashwani Gupta, whole-time director and chief executive officer of APSEZ, said the company’s domestic ports continued to anchor earnings, while international ports, logistics and marine were emerging as additional growth engines.
The logistics business recorded a 21 per cent rise in revenue to ₹1,273 crore, driven by the expansion of its integrated “shore-to-door” network. Trucking revenue grew 28 per cent year-on-year, while revenue from the international freight network more than doubled to ₹289 crore. The marine business reported a 57 per cent increase in revenue to ₹1,007 crore, supported by fleet expansion, higher contributions from offshore services and its entry into subsea services. The company’s fleet expanded to 138 vessels from 127 in the year-ago quarter.
Following its strong first-half performance, APSEZ raised its FY27 revenue guidance by ₹1,000 crore to ₹44,000-46,000 crore and its EBITDA guidance by ₹1,000 crore to ₹26,000-27,000 crore. The company also increased its capital expenditure guidance by ₹3,000 crore to ₹15,000-17,000 crore as it accelerates investments towards its Ambition 2031 goals.
For the first half of FY27, APSEZ generated operating cash flow of ₹13,327 crore, which funded investments of ₹10,521 crore. Its net debt-to-EBITDA ratio stood at 1.8 times, while its cash balance was ₹12,502 crore at the end of the September quarter. The company said it had incurred capital expenditure of ₹30,346 crore over the past two years while maintaining its leverage levels.
