The collaboration aims to make science-led biological solutions more accessible to farmers, supporting climate adaptation, soil health and nutrient use efficiency.

Absolute Founder Agam Khare said the partnership with Bayer would help make homegrown biological solutions accessible to more farmers.

Bioscience company Absolute’s arm, INERA, has tied up with Bayer to distribute a climate-resilient crop nutrition solution to farmers.

Absolute is a bioscience company building bio-solutions across agriculture,human nutrition and longevity.

Bayer to distribute INERA product

INERA and Bayer have entered into a strategic commercial collaboration. INERA said in a statement that Bayer will distribute and market the INERA product across its sales network.

Agam Khare, Founder of Absolute, said: “Indian agriculture is at an inflection point. A changing climate, growing pressure on food security and evolving policy priorities are creating an urgent need for farming solutions that are both sustainable and scalable.”

At INERA, he said, the focus is on bringing science-led biological solutions, which will help climate adaptation, enhance nature’s defense mechanisms for pest control, improve soil health, enhance nutrient use efficiency and boost farmers income.

“Our partnership with Bayer is an important step to making these homegrown biological solutions accessible to a larger number of farmers,” Khare said.

Focus on sustainable farming solutions

Simon Wiebusch, Country Divisional Head, Crop Science Division of Bayer for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, said, “The challenges facing farmers today require us to look beyond what any one company can deliver on its own. Partnerships that bring together complementary capabilities, technologies and expertise can help accelerate the availability of innovative and more sustainable solutions for farmers.

Together, the two companies aim to translate innovation into practical solutions, he added.

INERA expands its market presence

Currently, INERA holds active product licenses in 19 Indian states and has a growing presence in the US, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Bayer is a global company which is into various life science segments including health care and nutrition.
